Les Carroz
Les carroz has an altitude of 1140m and is situated in the Grande Massif ski area of the Haute Savoi region of the French Alps. It is about 1 hour from Geneva by car and situated between Chamonix & Morzine on its own sunny plateau. Throughout the years, Les Carroz has maintained its authenticity, whilst offering all year round a wide range of different sporting and cultural activities for all ages.

Les Carroz is a village with 1700 inhabitants situated at an altitude of 1140m. It is easy to get to, being only 12km from the A40 motorway exit, 45 minutes Geneva, 2 hrs from Lyon and 5 hrs from Paris...
Traditions:
Every Tuesday morning the Place des Aravis comes to life with a typically Savoyard market. Not to be missed is the farmers' market at the Navillod Farm on the first Friday of every month.
The old alpine pastures of this plateau evolved over time into what is now the village of Les Carroz. You will discover when walking around small chapels and religious signs from the past.
Still in evidence are a few original old farms which have resisted the ravages of time (in le Serveray and le Pernant), as well as a bread oven (Serveray), a little chapel in honour of Sainte Marie-Madeleine (Pernant), the odd barn and a few alpine chalets which are scattered about the various hamlets.

A40 motorway from Geneva to Chamonix, exit junction 19 Cluses Centre, take the N205 road towards Sallanches, after about 3 km turn left at the junction signposted "Les Carroz d'Arâches", (D6). (Beware ! No petrol station in the resort! The nearest is the BP station on the N205 near the motorway exit 12km from les Carroz)
